Mochi Pounding (December 18,2011)
Our FFA Students participated in a Japanese Tradition. They were able to pound there own mochi for the New Year. This tradition is suppose to bring good luck for the New Year. Our students pounded 100 pounds of mochi. They were able to pound, make, and take home mochi. For many of the students it was their first time pounding mochi and it was a great experience. Students were able to make plain mochi as well as ung( sweet beans) mochi.

Helemano Army Tour
35 pre-school students attended our Leilehua Facility on November 22, 2011. The students were able to participate in 5 different learning activities. FFA members were tour guides and ran each activity.

Students helped beautify our Leilehua Campus by planting red ti-leafs in front of our Library. Eight Future Farmers of America participated in this school service project.

Wahiawa Baptist Preschool Tour
Thursday October 20, 2011 our Learning Center will be conducting a tour around our Leilehua High School agriculture facility. Students will be able to participate in different aspects of our facility. Students will be able to visit our petting zoo, plant a seedling, learn about a compost bin, create a magic herbicide potion, and of course walk around our facility to see the different things that we offer our students.
